Your special event at Le Moulinot
Stay at the Moulinot
With six en-suite bedrooms (sleeping 14), as well as a Gite in the grounds for six people, Le Moulinot can be easily configured to suit most parties. Alternatively, smaller groups can rent it on a room-only basis.
For larger events, including weddings, we can organise additional accommodation nearby to suit all budgets.
The property is easily accessible, only 2,5 hours from Paris. Le Moulinot is on the outskirts of Vermenton, which has its own railway station, or by road, lying halfway between Auxerre and Avallon on the RN606 and between the Auxerre Sud and Nitry exits of the A6 motorway. The town itself has good amenities (supermarket, banks, pharmacy etc).
About Gael & Ollie
Professional Caterers
Gael and Ollie have been cooking professionally for many years, creating unforgettable dining experiences in locations as diverse as historic chateaux, ski chalets, luxury hotel boats, private city apartments and rural family farms.
Gael
Gael trained at the famous Cordon Bleu cooking school in London before settling in France. Her extensive travels in Asia and Europe have informed her relaxed cooking style, which combines fresh ingredients and French culinary know-how with gastronomic accents from around the world.

Ollie
Ollie is influenced by French food culture, as well as drawing on her English and Jamaican roots. Having married into a wine-making family near Chablis, she’s also adept at pairing these diverse flavours with good local wines that connect diners to the celebrated terroir of Burgundy.

Their expertise extends beyond the kitchen. Both are adept at event management, paying close attention to the general atmosphere and culinary style that clients are looking for no matter what the event
Cookery classes
We also offer cooking classes inspired by the rich gastronomic traditions of Burgundy. Learn how to make classic French dishes such as terrines, cooked and cured meats, seasonal vegetable mains and accompaniments, pastries and desserts, as well as staples for your pantry including sweet and savoury jams.
Food tours of local markets and wine tasting experiences in the surrounding vineyards are available for small groups too.
